This is a repeat of the first time we took the gravel bikes out, and it was just as great as we remembered it.
Boulder area farmland is beautiful!!
This is a flatter/faster route compared to the mountain terrain we’ve been on lately- we enjoyed picking up the speed when we could.
It took Rose two attempts and watching Laura to get over the elevated cattle guard!
Do this ride if you want a great variety of road surfaces with gorgeous Colorado scenery, lots of animals along the way and light car traffic.
We really should have researched how to avoid the steep (20%) downhill grade on the trail at the beginning. And we could have avoided Jay Rd/36 at the end…
Parking is free and easy at the Gateway Fun Center. (There are port-a-potties there too.)
